Sean Taylor is a British singer-songwriter. Born in 1983, he belongs to the relatively young generation of singer-songwriters. Since 2006, he has released no fewer than 9 albums. In 2019, an album titled ‘The Path Into Blue’ was released. This album features a fusion of blues, folk, and country. It is a thematic album with 12 contemporary songs about issues such as Brexit, the refugee crisis, homelessness, and alcohol and drug abuse.
In 2022, Sean’s twelfth album, “The Beat Goes On,” was released. It is a poetic and very musical album. It features songs with influences from blues, soul, jazz, folk, and country. Sean’s vocal style ranges from bluesy and jazzy to folky. Sean is a gifted guitarist. The fragile yet virtuosic sounds he extracts from his guitar complement his voice beautifully. Sean’s live performances are characterized by passion and talent. He is reminiscent of singer-songwriters like John Martyn and Richard Thompson. His voice sometimes leans towards that of Tom Waits.
